Founded in 1905, Fudan University in Shanghai is internationally oriented and has a strong profile in the social sciences, humanities and cultural studies. The campus infrastructure is well developed and international students are guaranteed a place in a student residence. KGE students have access to both a cultural studies program in the German Department (which acts as an orientation interface) and a range of English-language courses offered by other departments. The Center for European Studies , which is part of the School of International Relations and Public Affairs, serves as a contact point. Furthermore, the departments of Sociology, Public Policy, History and the entire College of Foreign Languages & Literatures contribute to the English language program.
