Transozeanische Literatur- und Kulturbeziehungen

Die Ozeane werden in der geisteswissenschaftlichen Forschung zunehmend als Räume nicht nur physischer, sondern auch symbolischer Überschreitungen territorialer, nationaler, regionaler, kultureller und epistemologischer Grenzen betrachtet. An diesen oceanic turn (DeLoughrey) anknüpfend möchte die Reihe insbesondere romanistischen Arbeiten Raum geben, die ein innovatives Verständnis transozeanischer Literatur- und Kulturbeziehungen befördern.

Schwerpunkte
in Forschung und Lehre
Die Arbeitsgruppe beschäftigt sich mit den französisch- und spanischsprachigen Literaturen in Europa und in verschiedenen außereuropäischen Regionen (insbesondere in Lateinamerika). In der Forschung liegt der Fokus historisch auf dem ausgehenden 18. und beginnenden 19. Jahrhundert, systematisch auf der Frage nach dem Transfer von Wissen zwischen Europa und Lateinamerika. In der Lehre ist die Professur darauf ausgerichtet, einen Überblick über die französischsprachigen und spanischsprachigen Literaturen der Welt zu vermitteln. Sie bietet Einblicke in die verschiedenen literarhistorischen Epochen und literarischen Strömungen und legt besonderes Gewicht auf die Vermittlung der methodologischen und literaturtheoretischen Grundlagen der Erforschung von ästhetischen Fragestellungen.

Romanistik
im Fachbereich Literatur-, Kunst- und Medienwissenschaft
Die romanistische Literaturwissenschaft der Universität Konstanz vertritt das Fach in den Bereichen Frankoromanistik, Italianistik und Iberoromanistik. Über die romanistische Perspektive hinaus bildet seit Gründung der Universität Konstanz das übergreifende Interesse an Allgemeiner Literatur- und Kulturtheorie ein besonderes Konstanzer Lehr- und Forschungsprofil.

Studiengänge in der literaturwissenschaftlichen Romanistik
In der Lehre bieten wir die drei BA-Studiengänge Französische/Italienische/Spanische Studien sowie den Master Literaturwissenschaft mit Schwerpunkten in diesen drei Philologien an. Seit dem Wintersemester 2023/24 trägt erschließt zudem der neue BA-Studiengang Literaturen–Kulturen–Sprachen verschiedene (auch romanische) Kulturräume und trägt damit der kulturwissenschaftlichen Öffnung der Literaturwissenschaft Rechnung. Besonderes Gewicht haben darüber hinaus die Lehramtsstudiengänge (B. Ed./MA Ed.) Französisch, Italienisch und Spanisch. Die Fachgruppe ist maßgeblich am MA-Studiengang Globale Europastudien beteiligt und in den BA- sowie den MA-Studiengang Literatur–Kunst–Medien eingebunden.

Writing the Post-Global in Latin America: Collapse and Conviviality
Internationaler Workshop an der Universität zu Köln, 29. und 30. Juni 2022
Latin American literatures in the 21st century are marked by the increasing exhaustion of the global project. New concepts reflecting this process are urgently needed, as the dark sides and asymmetries of the worldwide network connecting societies, economies and cultures have become ever more apparent. The discourses of comprehensive global integration that prevailed after 1989 have therefore been reinterpreted. In this context, post-globality does not refer to the overcoming of worldwide networking and integration, but rather constitutes a critical framework that allows us to understand the problematic economic, ecological, social, and technological dimensions of the current phase of globalisation. At the same time, it also permits us to reflect on new forms of world creation. The conference proposes to explore the plurality of the post-global experience by analysing the tension between the concepts of collapse and conviviality: while representations of collapse emphasise the vulnerability of natural and social systems, conviviality is directed towards the possibility of living together in difference.
